I was saddened to hear of the passing of Jack Layton this morning. He was a good leader whose passion and charisma captivated many Canadians. For many years, Mr. Layton has made untold contributions to this country through his involvement in politics. He was a great Canadian who truly loved this country and worked hard to serve it.
I send my deepest sympathies to his wife Olivia and his family as well as all of his friends and supporters
